Getting a good job with a nice firm is dream of many. One has to clear many obstacles to reach this goal and prove oneself in the field one has chosen. Before going for an interview, we ask our relatives, friends, parents, teachers, and everybody who has free advice to give us. All of them give job advice to us which confuses us all the more. The key to everything believes in oneself. The two main things during an interview are how you have written your resume and the impression you give during your interview. Therefore one needs to follow basic interview tips and resume writing tips in order to pass this problem with ease. Resume writing tips: Give honest information. Any question can be asked regarding what you have written in your resume so do not lie. Try to build a unified image. Do not include contrasting images AVOID usage of slang Don’t use stupid background with flowers or designs, it will portray a childish image of yours Don’t forget the basics. Write your name in large fonts. Don’t copy paste resumes from various internet sites. Use your own creative skills Update your resume regularly Try to keep your resume short and simple. Don’t include unnecessary information. Use a good printer. It doesn’t cost much to take print out of a page. Laser printers do the job well. Don’t list all your job experiences. Include only the ones required. Research about the company and their problems. Add in your resume how you can help solve the problems. Use bullet points as most of the employers do not have the time to go through long paragraphs. Use effective titles Most companies use digital database to search for candidates so make sure you use the right keywords. Interview tips: Smile when you enter and wish them properly Answer their questions with confidence Don’t try to oppose their statements without having a valid and logical points Speak politely. Attitude would lead to getting disqualified in the first round Ask them to about their company, its shows you are interested Be updated with the current affairs Do not share negative experience with your former employees if you have had any Take time to reply and not just blabber anything One needs to be well prepared before looking for a job.
